This past weekend, The league (Tony, Johnny, and I) partnered with Speakermatch to put on a life changing bootcamp for 25 excited, dedicated speakers from all over the world. Too many times people spend all of their energy coming up with excuses why something can't happen. Why they can't afford the time or money to pursue their dreams. My hat is off to all of the attendees who attended. We had a wonderful time! More to come! Did you attend? Post your thoughts!
We all have been ready to throw in the towel a time or two in our lives. What do you think would have happened if Thomas Edison gave up after the 950th try for the lightbulb? How about Col. Sanders' 500th restaurant? Most people give up on their dreams right before they become reality!. If you haven't taken action to start your dream, then take a small step. If you have been at it a while and are getting discouraged, persevere! Never Give Up!
Too many times people give up right before they reach their goal! Sometimes God puts hurdles in the way for us to grow stronger. Our own short sightedness makes those hurdles seem like walls sometimes. Keep in mind that you are always only a couple of steps away from reaching your dreams. What ambitions have you given up on? What ambitions are you ready to give up on?
If there is one thing that you can say about successful people, it is that they make time to invest in personal development. Here's a shocker: We all have the same amount of time. I know that the idea of that may blow a few of you away, but those who are willing to step up and put in their order for a prosperous and rewarding life are just willing to do those things that unsuccessful people aren't. I just spent a wonderful couple of days with my good friend, John Palmer. John is a very successful business owner to say the least. He is busy, busy, busy; but yet we made the time to attend a 2 day seminar. An idea here and there will change your life! What can you do to "sharpen the axe?"
Last weekend, I was at a party held by my good friend, Colin Woods. The greatest thing about Colin and his wife is that they encourage others to reach beyond their own limited scope of reality. I met a man there who just spent the previous day looking at Aston Martin, Bentley, and other exotic cars. He simply said that you needed to expand your scope of what you thought was possible in order to plant the seeds to make it possible. What do you think is impossible in life that other people are achieving? Go to a car dealer, make a phone call, rekindle a relationship. Whatever it is, just take the ACTION to put it into motion!
