Digging Out to Move Forward

Achieving the success you deserve and turning your goals into a reality begins with 1 thing: you must dig out to move forward.

Something weighing you down?

It is easy to find yourself buried in the past, and suffocated by belief systems that acts like powerful set of brakes on the racetrack of life. Many people would rather and sometimes envy other people’s success from afar, rather than roll up their own sleeves and begin the hard work of creating a life that they’ve dreamed of.

How do you begin the process of never-ending progress?

1. Remove what is holding you back.

Most of us engage in destructive habits or self-sabotage which prevents us from launching forward.

Your barriers could be negative people, a lack of intentional focus, and possibly poor beliefs that have long outlived their usefulness. Deal with them.

2. Invisible ink has no power.

When I ask people if they have goals, many will respond with “Yes”.

When I ask them their top 3 goals they are committed to this year, they usually avert their eyes and respond with something like, “Well you know…we’ve been busy…and….”

When I ask them to show me their top 3 written goals, 1% of the respondents can do so.

One year from now you will be one year older. Any changes are totally up to you and you alone.

3. New habits are tough, and you will slip-up.

How crowded is a gym on January 2 vs. January 20?

Habits take time, and most importantly, they require a shift in mindset and the construction of new pathways in your brain.

Successful people realize that slip-ups will happen, and they have a plan in place to get back on track. They believe in the Second Mistake.

Don’t be afraid to fail forward fast.

What are some strategies you use to build solid habits and to dig out from negativity?
