Drowning In the Water Cooler

The water cooler talk about people being afforded opportunities, fairness, and missed opportunities can be so overwhelming, it often feels like you are drinking from a fire hose!

What is the difference between those business owners who achieve outstanding results and opportunities for more vs. those who are struggling?

1. Give yourself a “Checkup from the Neck Up” -Zig Ziglar
“XYZ company is bigger so the can handle more clients” could be spun into, “We are smaller and more agile, and able to respond to our client’s needs in a timely manner!”

The words you choose to live with will chart your destiny.

2. Momentum beats motivation every time
Attend a Chamber of Commerce meeting, knock on a few doors, remember that hustle is the only thing that can never be outsourced. It is time to generate your own buzz. My friend, Randy Gage, shot an excellent video talking about this very subject.

Sound simple? It is…it’s just not easy.

3. Decline opportunities that divert your attention

Everyone knows someone who is constantly discovering “the greatest opportunity” and always asks you to check it out. When you are a “go-getter”, you will get approached by every network marketing company under the sun.

I’m not anti-MLM…far from it. However, if you are constantly shopping for the newest and greatest thing, you will never build anything.

What do you do to create your opportunities?
