\"Offended-Woman\"<\/p>\n

When did we start living in a world where everything was offensive to someone? I remember a time when someone had a different viewpoint than my own and we just agreed to disagree<\/em>… and life went on.<\/p>\n

It seems like we are now in an age where people are looking for ways to brand others as being offensive and belittling them, rather than trying to understand their point of view. (This doesn’t mean you condone behavior that is totally reprehensible.)<\/p>\n

Being an adult means that you realize not everything goes your way…and that’s okay.<\/h3>\n

Tim Ferriss (author of the 4 Hour Workweek<\/a>) summed it up best when he said, “Stop focusing on how offensive everything and everyone is and focus on how you can be less easily offended.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Can you change other people? No<\/strong>
\nWho can you change? You<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most people’s insecurities are great at adding meaning to conversations and situations to fit their own narrative even when no nefarious motive exists.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, many people in our culture strive to belong to an increasing group of “wronged” people for the messes in their lives instead of focusing on accepting responsibility and turning their mess into their message.<\/p>\n

When you focus on blaming others, you give away your personal power to succeed.<\/p>\n
