3 Business Tips from Hollywood’s #1 Personal Trainer

What does it take to whip your business into great shape in a short amount of time? Discover what Hollywood’s #1 personal trainer, Steve Jordan told me while I was visiting him in Los Angeles.

Steve and I met at a speaking event in Las Vegas, and I was flying to LA the next day to see additional clients. We were able to catch up at his gym for a workout and great conversation. One thing that intrigued me about Steve and his business is the success and following that he generated in a relatively short period of time.

Steve has traveled the world with his star-studded client roster, and trains A-list actors and actresses. Here are 3 strategies that are a part of Steve’s Recipe for Success:

1. Target, target, target

If everyone is your market, then no one is your market. Focus on who you enjoy serving most, and who benefits from your services. When Steve moved to LA with little money, he couldn’t afford to just blend in as just another trainer.

He focused on one niche and pursued it with intensity. Whatever your niche is, know it inside and out!

2. What Could Be…Not Just What Is Right Now

Steve uses several tools and machines that help pack 2 hours worth of working out into just 30 minutes. Most trainers didn’t embrace these tools, but he did. Check out his site at www.AmericasFitnessAmbassador.com for additional info.

I can tell you first hand that his workouts are AWESOME! 30 intense minutes is far better than 90 minutes of doing a set, walking around, doing another set, etc.

3. Constantly Remind Clients of the Benefits of Working With You

Not feeling appreciated is the #1 reason why clients leave. By reminding them of the progress they are making, or asking them about what they like about your product or service keeps the relationship fresh. Pick up your phone, drop them an email or a thank you card, just letting them know how much they mean to you.
