Don’t Say It, Play It!

This morning I was visiting with our 18 year old, Branson, while he was watching the news. Many of you have seen my live programs and may recall my success diet segments of “No news in the morning” segment of my program. This is because of the incessant negativity of the content of the news.

Let me clarify…his “news” is Sportscenter. The amazingly fit broadcasters who seemingly had no neck were commenting on a Tweet that some basketball player published after having a bad game. The basic premise of the comment was “Tomorrow will be a much better game than today.”

While we all have ups and downs, the announcer said something that was great. “Don’t just say it…play it!” How true! How many times have we heard people tell us that sales would increase, their performance would be better, or their attitudes would improve? (I know I have been guilty of saying such things)

Perhaps we should remember that when it is all said and done…much more is said than done. If you are going to use the energy to say it, why don’t you just play it? It’s totally cool if you don’t know how you would improve performance, so ASK! I guarantee that someone, somewhere has achieved what you are trying to do. Don’t reinvent the wheel, model success!
